I always enjoy playing this popular Christmas song Silver Bells composed by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans on the mandolin. For myself the mandolin has some of the sound qualities that tend to call to mind bells.
I will be performing a different version of Silver Bells in the 2019 Christmas Holiday season, which I will sing and do with the jazz trio type of vibe. Not sure if I’ll play the guitar or mandolin who knows, maybe I’ll play both in this Christmas classic.
In this One Man Band performance I’m playing a Michael Kelly Acoustic-Electric Legacy Dragonfly Flame Mandolin with a Boss Me-80 guitar multi-effects pedal which goes into a Boss RC-30 Loop Pedal and finally through a Fishman Solo Performance System SA220 PA.
