I always love playing this Christmas song O Christmas Tree also known as O Tannenbaum and jazzing it up a bit playing it in 4/4 time.
The song is based on a traditional folk song, it became associated with the traditional Christmas tree by the early 20th century and sung as a Christmas carol. The modern lyrics were written in 1824, by the Leipzig organist, teacher, and composer Ernst Anschütz. (according to Wikipedia)

The late great jazz guitarist Joe Pass is a huge influence on my playing style and I’m always striving to reach his level of playing on this tune.

In this One Man Band performance, I’m playing a RainSong Black Ice Series BI-WS1000N2 Graphite Carbon Fiber Acoustic-Electric Guitar with a Boss Me-80 guitar multi-effects pedal which goes to a Boss RC-30 Loop Pedal and finally through a Fishman Solo Performance System SA220 PA.

I’m playing the chord changes into a Boss Rc-30 Loop Pedal that plays back those chord changes supporting the performance while I play the melody and do some explorations into the harmony and melody of O Christmas Tree.
