🎶 Layla – Eric Clapton Cover (Smooth Blues Jazz One Man Band Performance)
Performed by Walt Pitts | Prime Vibe Music

Here’s my smooth jazz version of “Layla”—originally written by Eric Clapton and Jim Gordon and performed by Derek and the Dominos. I’ve put my own twist on this iconic tune, blending blues, jazz, and a bit of funk to make it uniquely mine. I used a Taylor T5 Hybrid Electric Acoustic Guitar and a Boss ME-25 guitar effects processor to create the sounds for this live recording.

The backing tracks for this performance were created using Band-in-a-Box 2012 with RealTracks. My playing style, which combines blues rock and slide guitar, has been strongly influenced by guitar legends like Clapton and Carlos Santana.

This is the live take of “Layla” that appears on my album, “Keepin’ It Real in Lo-Fi”. It’s one of my personal favorites, and I’m excited to share it with you. You can listen to more tracks and purchase the album here:
