🎶 A Cabin by the Sun – Walt Pitts Original (Smooth Jazz Fingerstyle Guitar Chillout)

“A Cabin by the Sun” is a deeply personal song for me, dedicated to the memory of my father-in-law, James H. Lotts (Oct 26, 1928 – Nov 17, 2010). The lyrics were written by my son, Benjamin Pitts, and the song is titled “For Pa, with Lotts of Love.” It holds a special place in my heart, and I’m honored to share it with all of you.
In this performance, I played a Maton Guitar and incorporated fingerstyle techniques, along with a Boss RC-30 Loop Station to create a chromatic musical structure. My playing style has been heavily influenced by Chet Atkins, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, and Art Pepper, and I hope you can hear those influences throughout the track.
