🎶 Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) – Live Beatles Cover
Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, originally performed by The Beatles on the Rubber Soul album in 1965.
This cover of “Norwegian Wood” is played a little differently from the original. I’ve changed the time signature from 3/4 (6/8) to 4/4, added a few chord substitutions, picked up the tempo, changed the key, and incorporated Travis-style guitar fingerpicking. I love opening this song up for solos, and it’s always a fun challenge to bring my personal touch to such an iconic tune.
Recorded at the Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2019.
I’ve been performing for the Desert Mountain Club community since 2002, and I couldn’t ask for a better place to play and entertain. This performance was recorded at the Cochise / Geronimo Clubhouse during a live event for Desert Mountain members and guests.
