🎶 Have I Told You Lately – Van Morrison Cover (Solo Guitar & Vocals Performance)
Performed by Walt Pitts | Prime Vibe Music

I’m a huge fan of Van Morrison and his prolific, diverse songwriting and performance styles. His ability to continue evolving as a musician—despite the typical expectations of artists at his age—is something I deeply admire. In this performance, I’m playing “Have I Told You Lately”, one of his most heartfelt songs. I’ve added my personal touch with a solo guitar and vocals rendition, keeping the emotional depth of the original while giving it a fresh spin.

This live music performance was recorded at the Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the Cochise / Geronimo Clubhouse restaurant on August 3, 2019. I’ve been performing for the Desert Mountain community since 2002, and it’s always a privilege to entertain such an incredible audience.

🎸 Tech Setup for the Performance

  • Guitar: Taylor T5

  • Pedal: Boss GT-1 Guitar Multi-effects Pedal

  • Processor: Boss VE-8 Acoustic Singer Processor (guitar and vocal signals separated)

  • PA System: Bose S1 Pro

  • Video Recording: iPhone X with Olloclip Super-Wide Pro Lens

  • Audio Recording: Roland GO:MIXER PRO Audio Mixer into the iPhone X

  • Camera Mount: Joby GripTight PRO Mount attached to a light stand, with the Roland GO:MIXER held by an IK Multimedia iKlip Xpand

I used the loop feature in the VE-8 to create a loop of the verse and chorus chord changes, which gave me the foundation to solo over.
