“Chasing Carlsbad” – original fingerstyle guitar song, Walt Pitts

Get this song and listen to others from my new album at CD Baby – Carlsbad, CA, is one of the favorite places where my wife and I go to vacation and get away. I wrote this song to capture the feeling I get when we are there.

I played a Maton Guitar and incorporated fingerstyle techniques, along with a Boss RC-30 “Loop Station” and a Latin style chromatic musical structure.

You might hear the influence of Joe Pass, Pat Metheny, Toots Thielemans, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Art Pepper on my playing style with this track.

This video shows that actual live take of the song that appears on my album, “Keepin’ It Real in Lo-Fi.” You can hear more songs and purchase them here CD Baby.
