“A Cabin by the Sun” – original fingerstyle guitar song

Get this song and listen to others from my new album at CD Baby – “A Cabin by the Sun” is a very personal and special song for me. It’s dedicated to the memory of my father-in-law, James H. Lotts (Oct 26, 1928 – Nov 17, 2010). My son, Benjamin Pitts, wrote the lyrics. “For Pa, with Lotts of Love.”

I played a Maton Guitar and incorporated fingerstyle techniques, along with a Boss RC-30 “Loop Station” and a chromatic musical structure. Chet Atkins, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane and Art Pepper have been big influences on my playing style. Hopefully you can hear that on this track.

This video shows that actual live take of the song that appears on my album, “Keepin’ It Real in Lo-Fi.” You can hear more songs and purchase them here CD Baby.
